Postdoctoral Position in Ophthalmology
Postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Sui Wang in the Department of Ophthalmology at Stanford University School of Medicine (California, USA). Our research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms that underlie retinal diseases, e.g. diabetic retinopathy, and retinal development, via dissection of gene regulatory networks. We are especially interested in identifying and elucidating the function of cis-regulatory elements, such as enhancers, in retinal diseases. This position offers excellent opportunity for the individual to learn genetics, genomics and retinal biology, and to develop unique skillset to tackle important questions in the field of vision research.
The successful applicant should have a PhD degree in biological sciences with excellent track record, and strong background in mouse genetics, and a broad working knowledge of genomics, neuroscience, and molecular and cellular biology. Prior experience in vision research is a plus. Good communication skills in English are required.
Interested candidates are invited to send a cover letter stating research goals, curriculum vitae and contact information for three references to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
