This lab focuses on mechanobiology of multi-cellular systems such as embryogenesis, tissue regeneration, and carcinogenesis by the integrated approach of experimental biology, mathematical science, and physical property measurement.
We are looking for an assistant professor who fulfills many of the following issues (in order of priority):
・Interest/Experience in the mechanobiology of multi-cellular systems such as embryogenesis, tissue regeneration, and carcinogenesis
・Interest/Experience in the integrated research of experimental biology, mathematical science, and physical property measurement
・Being familiar with basic techniques of molecular biology such as genetic manipulation
・Experience in culture and imaging of mammalian cells
・Experience in three-dimensional tissue culture of stem cells and/or other cells
・Interest/Experience in measurements on physical properties of cells and tissues
・Interest/Experience in mathematical/biophysical analyses of cell and tissue dynamics
・Interest/Experience in development of equipment for cell culture and observation

We will conduct screening at any time and may end the offering in about a month after the offering has started.
At the NanoLSI center, we are developing novel "nanoendoscopic techniques" that allow us to directly image, analyze, and manipulate nanodynamics of proteins, metabolites, and nucleic acids both on the surface of and inside the cell. Based on the developed technologies and knowledge acquired through such research works, we will establish a new research field termed "nanoprobe life science," which aims to achieve nano-level understandings of various life phenomena.
