PLURIPOTENT STEM CELL BIOLOGY POST-DOCTORAL POSITIONS

Two post-doctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Stephen Dalton (www.daltonlab.uga.edu) in the Center for Molecular Medicine at the University of Georgia (Athens) to study the biology of pluripotent stem cells. The positions will be funded by NIH-NIGMS for 5 years.

Projects are available to study:

  • how the cell cycle, epigenetics and chromosome organization coordinate cell fate decisions in pluripotent stem cells (see Dalton, Cell 155 [2013] and Singh et al. Stem Cell Reports 5, [2013]) for detailed information)
  • roles for MYC in the establishment and maintenance of pluripotency (see Smith et al. Cell Stem Cell 7 [2010], Chappell et al. Genes and Development 27, [2013])
