The University of Kiel Cluster of Excellence “The Future Ocean” has offered the following support for marine research-related laboratories.

We, the members of the Cluster of Excellence "The Future Ocean" at Kiel University, are following the news from Japan with sincere sorrow and sympathy. And we want to help as much as we can.

Please inform your colleagues in Japan that the Cluster of Excellence "The Future Ocean" has limited resources to allow individual Japanese marine scientists who have lost their scientific infrastructure to continue their work at least partially and temporarily in Kiel as "Visiting Scientists".

Interested colleagues should directly address me, or Prof. Martin Visbeck (Speaker, Cluster of Excellence Future Ocean) ), or Dr. Emanuel Soding (Project Manager, Cluster of Excellence Future Ocean).
